BEWARE OF 'ANTISPYWARE SOFT' VIRUS
It just 'came out' this month and it is nasty. dont know how the laptop got it (laptop is not used for videos) but , it is bad. having hard time to get rid of it. It loads itself then tells you you have all kinds of viruses and trojans on your comp. it will block other programs from running and all kinds of nightmares. I'm trying to rid myself of it and hope i don't need to go to a professional. I recommend, TURN OFF ALL AUTOMATIC DOWNLOADS/UPDATES. this virus is only about a week old and existing security programs have not had time to adjust for it.
Sounds like a variation of the virus I caught last summer that installed itself as an anti-spyware protection program. The tech shop missed it completely and I finally had to install Avast 4.8 Professional to stop it from blocking my McAfee VirusScan Enterprise 8.7i from loading at startup. I learned that it was exploiting a vulnerability in Java that had been corrected in later updates, so make sure your Java files are current. The current version is Version 6, Update 20, you can get it here.

And don't run two separate anti- virus programs together, they don't get along! It worked for me for that one time, I use the Avast exclusively now. It slows down your online travels somewhat, it's a small price to pay to remain virus free though!
Yikes, they nasty.
I fixed this one by going into safe mode and running 'combofix' software. now must go in manually and make sure all traces are eradicated.
For anyone with this same trouble, try this, it helped tremendously (i tried several other options and removal tool before this-this is the one that worked)
